An Apocryphal sound ritual by Wormsign

Inspired by Petra Haden's "The who sell out" album and the vocal experiments of the last project, I became obsessed with producing a work of purely vocal music. Though at times it sounds like more, the entire piece was performed by vocal run through a myriad of effects. The result fit conceptualy into my other obsession, this nations secret history and it's occult roots. The New Atlantis is falling. The sea will over take us all.

Songs for the Scarlet Woman
An Apocryphal sound ritual by Wormsign

The album is layed out in a pattern of song sturctures and methods. Track 1 and 9 are simple guitar ambience, while track 2 and 8 are created with nothing but effected vocal arrangements. Track 3 and 7 are full ballad song of a more traditional setup. Track 4 and 6 take the darker tones of drone based music with a specific tonal response created in both that reminds me of old days on the four track. Then in the middle is a pearl of a track written in imporv one day on my roomies nylon guitar. This is a working of great importance to me. A calling out to something needed. A boast of things past. A fellow seeker named Jack that fell into her arms blindly. She will return and this time take my soul.

A new direction and a new side project, Fanghorn is a concept album in the tradition of great 70's prog rock. This album was culled from improv sessions and furthers my exploration of my guitar roots.
